Forsaken

I sit here alone,
Alone in my own desolate despair,
Abandoned by those supposed to love.

Dark clouds thunder overhead,
Coldness seeps through,
Deep into the very heart of me.

The world around me,
My supposed playground,
Now gatekeeper to my sacred cell.

Rejected I stand,
Unloved, unwanted, undesirable
By those who claim.

The Heavens tremble and heave,
Rain pounds down,
My soul weeps for more.

Locked into bondage,
Where there's no key,
Hope dares not supersede.

Amongst the filth,
Covered with the stench of life,
I lie forgotten.

The wailing wind roars,
Crying out in desperation,
As my soul slowly ebbs away.

Prisoner of life,
Product of hate,
I am the Forsaken.
